The Beautiful Game #4: Another Soccer Stud

I just discovered another soccer hunk after watching Friday’s game.  I had to add him to the soccer hottie list here.   ;-)

Diego Forlán is from Uruguay (playing for Uruguay during the World Cup).  Outside of the World Cup games, he plays for Spain.  He’s got long tresses, sculptured-like facial features and washboard abs.  When he scores a goal, he likes to take off his jersey.  The  women like when he does that.   ;-)

I can see Diego on the cover of a romance novel.  Watch out Fabio.

This is one of my all-time favorite historical romances.  Has anyone read it?

The Beautiful Game #3: Soccer Hottie Wanted

Yes, the 2010 World Cup continues and I’m still following the games.  So far, many teams have been eliminated (including the U.S., France and Italy).  In the meantime, there are a lot of hot footballer sightings on the field.  I’m wondering where I can find a soccer stud of my very own.  Hmmm…  Applicants may apply here.

Here are a few of the world’s most talented soccer players, who happen to be considered hot, as well.

The Beautiful Game # 2: Practice Makes Perfect

France soccer team

Training and practice is the perfect way to develop one’s craft or achieve one’s goals.  The above photo shows the France soccer team training, on the French Indian Ocean island of La Reunion, in preparation for the 2010 World Cup.  The second photo shows the South Africa soccer team practicing in Johannesburg at the beginning of the World Cup games.

Seeing photos of the different teams reminded me that training and practice not only applies to the footballers but writers, and anyone else who wants to be good at what they do, too.   In order to be a better writer, one has to practice and train by writing everyday.  Practice makes perfect.

My friend, Ande, has a wonderful blog called DOGGING THE WORDS to assit writers.  It includes a daily writing practice assignment.  If you’re interested in writing tips, go check it out.
