Hi Folks:
Authors Jeanie Johnson and Jayha Leigh have founded a new e- publishing company — Beautiful Trouble Publishing. Go check it out.

Thanks to all who answered the call to help author Sharon Cullars save her home from foreclosure. Your good wishes, prayers, and particpating in the fundraiser and eBay auction have been very helpful. You’re all angels!
Folks, you collected over $5000! The proceeds from the Ebay auction raised close to $2500 and the proceeds from the fundraiser totaled $3110. Awesome!
Sharon plans on using those funds for relocation and moving expenses. You can read her message here.

Folks:
There’s a lot of loot to bid on. ;-) You can find out what’s up for auction at this site: For Sharon Cullars.
Check out Roslyn Hardy Halcomb’s message below:
I’ve always known that the Romance community had some of the most fabulous people on the planet. Time and time again we’ve banded together to help one another and even a notorious band of ferrets. When we put out the call for items for Sharon’s auction I knew we’d get some great stuff. Even so, I’m like WHOA!!! Oh my, the pretties we’ve got. As usual my problem is, I want it all.
We’ve got items from some of the hottest authors out there, bestsellers Nalini Singh, Shiloh Walker, Angela Henry, Cheyenne McCray. We’ve even got ARCS. You’ll get to read them before anybody else! Need website design? Emma Petersen, who, besides being an awesome author is also a site designer, has her services up for bid. And the package from The Romance Studio? Just makes my mouth water. We’ve got critiques from published authors and acquisition editors, and a special critique by a Golden Heart finalist. In a word folks, don’t sleep on this one.
Head on over to the website (designed by Emma Petersen) to get a preview. The auction goes live on Monday, January 19th. So be sure to bid early and bid often. And please put the link up on your sites and in the social networks. We need to get the word out. Again, thanks so much to so many generous people. We can do this.
**Ed. Note: Just recently, I received a note of thanks from Sharon Cullars, which she asked that I pass on to you:
"Although there are many ways to say thiank you, there’s really no way to truly express how much I appreciate the kindness shown me during this particular challenging time in my life. I’ve been given hope and that is a priceless gift." ~ Sharon Cullars

First of all, I’d like to say a massive thanks to everybody who donated to Sharon Cullar’s Chip In fundraiser. In just over a week, you guys raised $1200. That’s f*cking awesome. You guys rock all kinds of wonderful.
Unfortunately, we’re a little off the target that Sharon needs to help her stay in her home, so some of Sharon’s friends are organising an E-bay Auction to help raise the rest of the funds required.
With this in mind, we need freebies from bloggers, authors, editors, publishers, web designers, so if you have items to donate - books or book baskets/collections, critiques, ARCs of upcoming releases, review spreads, mentoring opportunities, web or promotional material design work etc., please email the item description to Roslyn Holcombe at roslynholcomb @ mac.com (no spaces).
You guys have been amazing so far, and I think it would be fabulous if we could do something this important for one of our own.
If any of you still want to donate to the Chip In Fund, you can do so here. All donations will be gratefully received.
Or simply click on the Chip In Icon below.
Once again, please feel free to copy and paste, and post this info onto your respective blogs, the more people know about this, the more successful we’ll be I’m sure.
Thanks again for the wonderful effort so far.

By Jeanie Johnson

Star Hart is young by vampire standards (400 centuries young and counting). She has spent half of her young life avoiding matters of the heart. And she’s spent ninety-five percent of that time avoiding the one male that always sets her heart racing and her blood pumping: Lukas Montague, the Commander of the Locke Brotherhood.
Being the only female Scout for The Society and having a peculiar relationship with the ruler of the Vampire Nation has set Star apart from “normal” vamps. Of course Lukas Montague is anything but normal. He’s also not patient. After 200 years of Star avoiding him, he’s decided that it’s time that she realise that she belongs to him.
Lukas’ patience is put to the test by events that come dangerously close to spiralling out of control. What happens the end … well read on and you will find out!

Alicia started her company, Fancy Free on a whim—a business to occupy her time and keep her old school friends busy. Many of Sloan’s residents considered Fancy Free a strange business, and some were plain shocked, but Alicia didn’t believe in following conventions. Condoms were something she knew about. She’d researched them enough, heck, she’d even used a few in her time. Condoms were her passion, and so condoms were what her company produced. On her death, she left her precious company to her god-daughter Alice Beasley.
A snippet from Alicia’s collection of condom notes:
Condoms are currently made from three materials: Latex, Polyurethane and Lamb Skins.
Latex condoms are produced from natural rubber latex, derived from trees in Africa and
Polyurethane is stronger and thinner and has no odor or taste. It has only recently been used in the manufacture of condoms and is recommended for latex-sensitive users.
Lamb Skins are made from the intestine of animals and were one of the first forms of birth control. They have a natural feeling and although effective for birth control, the bacteria and viruses which carry STDs and AIDs can pass through the porous walls of the natural membrane. Only one company continues to make Lamb Skin condoms.
